Armour Beauty | Rock ‘n’ Roll Lip Gloss

Ladies (and gentlemen), I’m about to introduce you to my new favorite lip glosses. If you haven’t heard of the brand Armour Beauty, you are living under a lipgloss deprived rock, and need to escape from underneath it immediately. I am beyond picky when it comes to lip gloss, but I finally found a brand that creates pigmented, long-wearing glosses in an incredible selection of shades. The formula is so unbelievable, that it actually helped me get out of my comfort zone and try colors that I wouldn’t normally gravitate towards.

Brigitte is a peachy pink shade, inspired by Brigitte Bardot, from Armour Beauty’s Vegan line. It contains the perfect amount of shimmer, and I can’t get over how pigmented it is. The consistency is thick, but not sticky, which explains why the formula stays put on your lips for hours at a time. With a single swipe, Brigitte is opaque, and it’s the perfect shade to rock if you’re trying to achieve a natural, luminous make-up look.

Edie is a creamy, opaque beige, named after Edie Sedgwick, that I cannot get enough of. It’s so hard to find an opaque, pigmented nude lip gloss, but leave it to Armour Beauty to create Edie, and end my ongoing search. The shade is so flattering, and the creamy consistency is like no other gloss I’ve ever tried.

Gypsy is the sheerest of the Armour Beauty glosses I’ve tried, but nothing short of amazing. It’s a soft peach with gold shimmer, and great for everyday wear. Gypsy is typically the shade I have in my purse because it’s easy to apply, and complements whatever make-up look I’m wearing that day.

Armour Beauty, founded by rocker and model Theo Kogan, exclusively offers lip glosses, and boy have they perfected the formula. I’ve tried dozens of lip glosses, from drugstore to high-end, but nothing quite competes with Armour Beauty. I love the rock-n-roll inspiration behind each and every gloss, and the brand has an extra special place in my heart because they were founded, and operate, in my hometown, Brooklyn.
