By now, most Money Can Buy Lipstick readers know I am a dedicated lover of Aura Candles; they’re featured all over my Instagram page! Ever since my boyfriend and I moved into our apartment, I have had a deeper appreciation for candles. I always feel so accomplished when I finish cleaning the apartment and get to light a candle, lay on the sofa, and watch one of my favorite movies. Candles instantly transform a space, and change the entire mood. Aura Candles is my go-to brand. The scents are incredible, the packaging is sleek and complements my home, and each candle lasts for what feels like forever! Hours after the candle has been burning, I can still smell the delicious lingering scent.

Aura Candles is a San Diego based brand started by best friends, Chelsea and Jasmine. They handcraft and hand pour each candle with soy blended wax, lead-free wicks, and fine fragrance. Each candle is luxurious and high-end, yet Chelsea and Jasmine have created a line affordable for almost everyone. Every time I light one of their candles in my apartment, my mood is instantly lifted.

The four scents I have tried thus far are Luxe, Chill, Bubbly, and Radiant. Luxe, my personal favorite, is a luxurious, creamy fragrance with notes of coconut milk, sandalwood, and amber. Chill is a fresh and herbaceous blend with notes of lavender, thyme, and cedar wood. Bubbly, my boyfriend’s personal favorite, is a crisp scent with notes of champagne, pinot noir, chardonnay, and rock sugar. Radiant is a sweet, citrus scent with notes of grapefruit, goji berry and bergamot. Each scent is so unique, yet equally fragrant and appealing.
