What I Currently Adore

Money Can Buy Lipstick is a platform I created out of pure boredom, and I never imagined it would grow to be what it is today. As I’ve grown as a person, I’ve wanted my blog to evolve into a lifestyle site, and show more of who I am; what I like, my deeper interests, my goals and aspirations, and just insight into what makes me, me. I decided to start the “What I Currently Adore” series to help you learn more about my life and interests, and what I’m loving outside of the beauty realm. I hope you enjoy getting to know me better! And don’t worry, there will still be plenty of make-up on MCBL.

Watching: You NEED to watch Unbreakable: Kimmy Schdmit on Netflix if you haven’t already. It is seriously the BEST comedic television show I have watched in a long time. My brother and I flew through the entire season in one weekend. I’ve also recently caught up on Scandal, Pretty Little Liars, Finding Carter, and Shameless. Yes, I watch a lot of television. I usually keep my iPad next to my desk and watch while I’m editing photos and answering comments on social media. Vampire Diaries is one of my favorite shows, but it’s so hard to watch now knowing that this is Nina Dobrev’s last season. I kind of still had hope for her and Ian Somerhalder to live happily ever after, but I guess the fact that he’s now engaged to someone else is kind of a problem. Yes, I am also very much into celebrity gossip. Don’t judge me. Next on my television agenda is How To Get Away With Murder, and the second season of Orange Is The New Black. I seriously cannot wait!

Reading: I absolutely love reading but I’ve kind of been slacking in recent months. Are there any series you recommend? I pretty much love any genre; fantasy, romance, mystery, and psychological thrillers to name a few, so I am completely open to any suggestions you may have.

At the movies: Going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do. I love movie dates with my boyfriend, seeing inappropriate romance movies with my gal pals (cough, Fifty Shades), and using my little cousins as an excuse to see the latest animated films. I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had the chance to go, but I’m dying to see Cinderella, Fast 7 (even though I’ll probably bawl my eyes out), The Longest Ride, Insurgent, and The Avengers. I kind of just love movies in general, and as you can tell by what I want to see, I don’t really stick to a particular genre.

Decor: As you can see from the photo above, I am all about flowers lately. I love having flowers in my apartment or office, and I’ve recently been getting into creating my own arrangements. If you have any tips or know of any great reads regarding how to create flower arrangements, please let me know.

Drinking: Iced coffee. I don’t know why it took me so many years to discover coffee, but I am hooked. Every morning I order a large iced coffee, light and sweet, with cream and sugar. Not the healthiest, but it sure is delicious.

Shopping: This past weekend I attended IMATS with my best friend, spent way too much money, and put myself on a spending ban. I’m trying to save for future vacations so I’m putting shopping on the back burner. I’m sure I’ll cave and buy make-up in a few days, but I’m trying to stay strong.
